Per No Limits.org's last e-newsletter, The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, designed to ensure stronger inspections and higher standards for the food we eat, had been stalled in the Senate . . . until now. Thanks for reaching out to your senators to ask them to support the bill, and there is good news. Last week, the Senate voted to invoke cloture on the bill by a vote of 74 to 25...meaning that the bill cannot be filibustered and that the Senate will soon have a full floor debate on the legislation before voting on final passage.
