 KCETLink Media Group, a leading national independent nonprofit public broadcast and digital network, has added special environmental programming to its spring lineup with EARTH FOCUS PRESENTS, a Wednesday night series featuring acclaimed “green” documentary films that premiere under KCET and Link TV’s EARTH FOCUS banner. The lineup offers four environmental films focused on the ecological responsibility that is shared worldwide. The schedule kicks off with “Gringo Trails” which raises questions about the environmental impact of tourism and is followed by the award-winning “Bluefin” which chronicles the over-fishing of tuna. Also, CNN Hero Jock Brandis focuses on solutions for underprivileged, remote villages around the world in “Replan It” while a Kenyan farmer suddenly finds himself a climate activist on the world’s stage in “Thank You for the Rain.” The EARTH FOCUS PRESENTS strand of topical documentary films launches on Wed., April 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Link TV nationwide (DirecTV 375 and DISH network 9410) and in Southern California on KCET at 9 p.m. PT.
